The Original Kitchen
Long before steel, before aluminium, before Teflon there was clay. Archaeological finds from Harappan settlements across Gujarat and Rajasthan confirm that terracotta cooking vessels were in active, daily use as far back as 3000 BCE. These were not primitive tools. They were the result of generations of refinement vessels shaped to distribute heat evenly, to retain warmth long after the flame died, and to interact with food in ways that enhanced both flavour and nourishment. India did not discover clay cooking. It perfected it.
